Article Summary

Overview

The Playbooks feature allows ThreatConnect® users to automate cyberdefense tasks via a drag-and-drop interface. The Playbook Designer is a tabbed interface in which you can manage individual Playbooks in your ThreatConnect instance. From this screen, you can add and configure Playbook elements (Triggers, Apps, and Operators), create and operate Run Profiles, access a Playbook’s version history, create global variables, view execution details and logs, and access administrative functions and settings for the Playbook. See The Playbooks Screen and Parts of a Playbook for more information about getting started with Playbooks.

This series of articles provides a tour of all of the features available on the Playbook Designer screen, describes how to design a Playbook (that is, build the Playbook by adding and connecting elements) and use the formatting features in the Playbook Designer, and provides a list of the keyboard and mousewheel shortcuts available in the Playbook Designer.
