Overview
Due to Google®’s deprecation of Manifest V2, the ThreatConnect® Intelligence Anywhere browser extension is no longer available from the Chrome™ Web Store. However, the extension will remain functional in Chrome until at least June 2025.
Note
Intelligence Anywhere is fully supported in Mozilla® Firefox®.
Chrome users can install Intelligence Anywhere from a downloadable ZIP file. Please contact your ThreatConnect Customer Success Manager (CSM) to request this file. This article provides instructions on how to install ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere from the ZIP file.
Before You Start
Prerequisites
- To install ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere for use with the Chrome web browser, you must have the ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere 3.0.1.zip file provided by your CSM.
Install ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere in Google Chrome
Follow these steps to install ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere on Google Chrome:
- Unzip the ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere 3.0.1.zip file provided by your CSM. The unzipped file contains a folder called tc-browser-extension.
- Open a Google Chrome browser tab.
- Click Extensions
at the top right of the browser tab. - Select Manage Extensions
. - Turn on the Developer Mode
toggle at the top right of the Extensions screen. - Click the Load Unpacked button at the top left of the Extensions screen.
- Locate and select the tc-browser-extension folder from Step 1.
- Click Select to install ThreatConnect Intelligence Anywhere on Google Chrome.
After you have installed the Intelligence Anywhere extension on Chrome, log into your ThreatConnect instance—or, if you are already logged in, refresh the browser tab in which ThreatConnect is open—to authenticate with Intelligence Anywhere. If this is your first time accessing Intelligence Anywhere, you will need to configure its settings; otherwise, you can start scanning online resources for potential Indicators.
