# Interactive Playbooks Overview

**Interactive Mode** allows you to interactively test Playbook Apps in-line and collaborate with other users on a Playbook without activating it for use. The **Interactive Mode** screen resembles the **Design Mode** screen, but includes the **Variable Explorer** tab, the **Execution Details** tab, and a **Notes** section (Figure 1).
